NLC Volunteer Recognized in Messina Bulzomi Christensen Newsletter

One of our  current volunteers, Pat Simon,  was recently recognized for her professional and volunteer work in the Messina Bulzomi Christensen newsletter. We were  so excited when we saw the article that we asked for permission to re-post it on Pro Bono Dicta. So, here it is we hope you enjoy it as much as we did:

Law Clerk Pat Simon has dedicated seven years to the MBC Law Firm. After a career in the hospitality industry, Pat fulfilled her dream of going to law school and takes great pride in being admitted to the WA state bar in 2004 at age 54.

Pat is the oldest of 12 children and sister of Attorney Steve Bulzomi.  She grew up helping to raise and protect her younger siblings and believes the practice of law provides a great outlet for these instincts developed in childhood.

Her Law Clerk duties include research and writing, drafting pleadings and occasionally appearing in court.  Outside of MBC, Pat practices immigration law and provides pro bono services in King County Bar Association’s Bilingual Spanish Immigration Clinic.

As an active community volunteer, Pat has helped at numerous Citizenship Day events, assisting people in applying to become US citizens, as well as the KCBA Neighborhood Legal Clinic, ACT Theater and other community organizations.  She lives in Seattle’s Greenlake area and enjoys gardening, music, needlework, spending time with friends and family and even salsa dancing!
