Are you looking for a cocktail and sushi during Happy Hour?

Happy Hour Goes to Nijo Sushi Bar & Grill

If  you have a group of 7-10 people, are looking for an interesting cocktail to go along with your sushi, and dare to dream of sitting outside, then Nijo is the place for you.

This sushi bar and grill offers sidewalk seating in the alley off of Spring street.  I’m always a little nervous when we show up at happy hour with seven people and ask to sit outside on a sunny day, but in this instance Nijo staff were accommodating and made it happen immediately.

A lot of happy hour places offer beer and wine at a discounted price but shy away from offering good deals on their cocktails. At Nijo there is a variety of cocktails including Lychee Martinis to Coconut Cosmos and they are available for $4-5.

Go if you’re in the mood for…

Good sushi

Sake

Cocktails or well drinks

Sidewalk seating

One Liners:

“I basically had dinner via the happy hour menu: calamari, yam fries, tempura vegetables, and sushi”

“simple yummy sushi and drinks at happy hour prices”

“outside seating is great”

“fresh affordable sushi downtown”

“they have cucumber water”

We ate the:

Spicy Tuna Rolls

Lychee Martini

White wine

Cali Rolls

Sweet potato fries

Is it good for groups?

Yes

Vegetarian/Vegan Factor:

There are some vegetarian/ vegan menu items but the menu has a heavy slant towards items that contain seafood.

View:

No view, but an outdoor patio that accommodated our group of seven!

Downside:

The side of the patio we sat on had a slightly obnoxious vent above it that created some distracting noise. If your sensitive to things like that I would ask to sit on the side of the patio without the vent.
